13 strategies to reduce the operating cost of your GET
Faced with the increasingly difficult task of reducing the sale price of their products or services, mining companies have one strategy to remain competitive: reducing costs. Historically, the largest mining expenditures are fuel and tires, with ground engaging tools (G.E.T.: tooth, adapter, lip shroud, pin, etc.) placing only third. But it’s important to remember that when high quality G.E.T. is used, fuel use and tire wear are reduced.
In this article, published in the February 2018 edition of Horizonte Minero
, Carlos Henrique De Paula provides 13 strategies to optimize G.E.T. management.

The Bladesaver QM lip system is Hensley’s next generation wear solution for wheel loaders operating in abrasive quarry applications. Like its predecessors, the Bladesaver and the BSII, the new Bladesaver QM provides users a fully integrated GET system with 100 percent lip coverage, streamlined profiles for increased penetration, and hammerless pins for safe, quick and easy change-outs. The flat-bottom design improves cycle times and penetration, and maximizes the flow of material, making each pass count. Specially designed to help withstand extreme impact and high abrasion, the high-quality castings and unique design minimize downtime, increase productivity, and reduce costs.
